Heroic Malygos Brought To Justice

This past week, The Core successfully cleared Normal and Heroic Eye of Eternity. We have now successfully completed all Wrath of the Lich King raid encounters on both Normal and Heroic difficulty. It was an epic experience for all involved to finally kill him. Malygos is in my opinion the most unique encounter thus far in the new expansion. We, like everyone else at this point are now gearing up and looking forward to Ulduar.

Special grats to Yuriken and Kilios for being able to complete your Heroic: Judgment at the Eye of Eternity quests and receive an Item Level 226 reward!

Kel'Thuzad Vanquished

Thanks to the awesome efforts of everyone who donated stuff for Frost Resistance gear, and for the effort of our healers, tanks, and DPS; The Core has defeated Sapphiron, Kel’Thuzad, and earned our key to the Eye of Eternity (like we really needed another instance with “EYE” in it, the last one sucked balls). Now that we’ve cleared 10-man Naxx, our next goals are to completely master Sartharion and to kill Malygos.

In other news, The Core is looking for a few good toons to join our raiding teams. We’re full on tanks, but we’re in need of an additional healer (preferably a Priest or Shaman) as well as some caster DPS. I’m looking for maybe a Shadow Priest, a Mage, or a Warlock. We might have a few DPS spots open.

Welcome to The Core’s redesigned site for the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The Core is aiming to be a 25-man raiding guild when Wrath is released. We will be gauging our recruitment with that goal. That said, we have plenty of spots open for new recruits. We’re particularly needy for tanks and healers.

Also, if you have friends that have been trying to get into the guild, but haven’t been able to due to class quotas, now is the time. We’re going to be fairly lenient on friend invites until we actually start raiding again in Wrath.
